The Xing Yi / Tai Ji Ball Exercises come from Xing Yi Master Shang Ji. These ball exercises are useful for internal body training, and require no special equipment beyond an ordinary basketball. The ball exercises are also great for Ba Gua practitioners. The eight exercises demonstrated in the videos below can be practiced in a very small area – perfect for all of us sequestered at home for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Once you have practiced the exercises individually, you can mix them up, add footwork, and incorporate Tai Ji, Xing Yi, and Ba Gua body actions (Shen Fa) to play with the ball. Have fun!
