The Chinese Medicine Clinical Integration Master Class focuses on practical clinical skills and seamless integration of key Chinese medicine modalities. Students will diagnose and treat each other using a multi-modality approach under the supervision and guidance of Master Teacher and practitioner Tom Bisio.
Working in groups under Tom’s supervision and guidance, students will diagnose and effect treatments on each other using acupuncture, Traditional Tui Na, Zang Fu Tui Na, and Zheng Gu methods. When applicable, herbal formulas, both internal and external, will be discussed and prescribed. Chinese rehabilitative exercises will also be discussed and prescribed.
Tom will add his clinical skills to the mix so students can observe how to seamlessly integrate the perspectives and methods of Traditional Tui Na, Zheng Gu methods, Acupuncture, Zang Fu Tui Na, Herbal Medicine and Rehabilitative Exercise, in both diagnosis and treatment. Difficult techniques will be explained, demonstrated and practiced in the course of treatments as they unfold.
Students will learn draw up specific but flexible treatment plans based on the reality of the clinical encounter and with regard to a full course of future treatments, and they will outline various treatment options based on possible future clinical outcomes.
