Intensive Ba Gua Zhang Training in Tuscany, Italy

A rare opportunity to learn the essence of Ba Gu Zhang and Ba Gua Circle Walking Meditation
in the beautiful Italian countryside.
The IAI Ba Gua Zhang summer intensive in Tuscany will focus on mastering Ba Gua Foundational Training, Ding Shi (Fixed Posture Circle Walking) and the Eight Palm Changes (Lao Ba Zhang – Old Eight Palms), which form the heart of Ba Gua Zhang.
Daoist Ba Gua Circle Walking Meditation will be included in the afternoon sessions.
This intensive 6-day seminar is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Special evening sessions will be reserved for instructor training (see below)
Tom Bisio and Valerie Ghent will personally oversee every aspect of training.

Sunday: arrival (between 4pm-6pm), dinner, evening orientation & training.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: full training days with above schedule.
Wednesday: half day of training (until 12pm). Instructors will train on Wednesday from 4pm-6:30pm and have the evening free.
Saturday: morning training ends at 11am; departure from Terrenzana by 1pm.

Instructor Training
If you have practiced Ba Gua for at least two years either with an IAI instructor or through the IAI Authentic Ba Gua Zhang Online Learning Program you can apply for Instructor Training.
Current Foundational Level instructors can also apply for Instructor Training in order to become a Senior Instructor capable of passing on the art.

Location
Agriturismo Terenzana is a beautiful 13th century estate and farm situated in a secluded and idyllic location. It is very close to famous vineyards, towns like Sienna, Bolgheri, and Volterra, and the Etruscan coast with its beautiful beaches. The farm produces olive oil and has hundreds of olive trees.
The grounds are quiet with amazing views, olive trees and quiet places to train under old oak trees. There is a large swimming pool and meals will be served in the restaurant/bar on the premises.
For those not driving or renting a car, transport can be arranged from the Pisa airport.
The 2023 Tuscany Intensive is almost full, there are now very limited accommodation options. Please CONTACT US for more information, to join the wait list, and/or to join the priority list for 2024.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations received more than 90 days prior to event start date are eligible for a full refund minus $75 which covers administrative fees.Cancellations made within 90 days are not eligible for a refund and cannot be re-applied to future events. All cancellation notices must be received in writing or email.
Event Cancellation:
Internal Arts International reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If Internal Arts International is is forced to cancel an event, a full refund will be granted to those already registered. IAI is not liable for any expenses incurred in preparing to attend or traveling to the event. However, as much notice and consideration as possible will be given.
